From Argentinia to Combat

Argentinian-born Cesia is a combat soldier, lives on Kibbutz Gesher with the one, only and amazing Michael Meyerheim and became a commander in the IDF yesterday! Mazal tov on finishing the course!! (En castellano debajo)

“It’s been my dream to join the IDF since a small age,” Cesia says. “I feel that I’ve made the best decision, and I want to get as far as possible.” It’s Cesia’s wish to do everything she can for the state of Israel.

Like most international lone soldiers, Cesia worried a bit about what the reactions of her family would be when she made the decision to come to Israel and serve in the army. However, in the end, they were supportive of her choice. “They’re a bit worried for me, but they’ll be okay,” she explains.

She loves the idea of helping lone soldiers , and is grateful for the support she gets from the Lone Soldier Center.  She even expressed a desire to become a regular volunteer at the Lone Soldier Center after she is released from the army – although it may be a while; it seems that her star is just rising!

After her service, she hopes to attend university in Israel, where she’ll apply her focused work ethic and people skills to becoming a psychiatrist. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the coming years, Cesia!
